Dear Northwest Community,
I hope this message finds you well! There are so many incredible things happening across our district right now, and I want to share a few updates and upcoming events with you.
Celebrating Our Veterans & Military Families
Next week, we are proud to honor our Ohio veterans and military families during our District Spirit Week (November 9–13). We invite all students and staff to participate as we show our appreciation:- Monday, November 9: Wear Purple – Honor military children and families.
- Tuesday, November 10: Hats Off to Our Heroes – Wear your favorite hat in honor of our service members.
- Wednesday, November 11: Red, White, and Blue Day – Show your patriotic pride.
- Thursday, November 12: Camo Day – Wear camouflage clothing.
- Friday, November 13: Wear Red – Support our troops and veterans.
District Highlights & Student Achievements
- Friday Night Football: Our Northwest football team battles Rocky River High School tonight as they pursue our second playoff victory of the season! Let’s show up and cheer on our student-athletes.
- Marching Band Headed to Florida: Just before Thanksgiving, our Marching Band will be traveling to Florida for an exciting performance opportunity. We wish them safe travels and a wonderful trip!
- Northwest Singers at the White House: We are thrilled to share that our Northwest Singers have been invited to perform at the White House in Washington, D.C., just before Christmas. This is an incredible honor for our school district and community.
- A Day in the Cafeteria: I recently had the wonderful opportunity to step in and substitute in our Primary School cafeteria. While serving lunch is just a normal part of the day for our students, seeing their smiling, happy faces made my day and reminded me of what makes our district so special.
- Cross Country Team: A very special good luck to our boys and girls cross country teams as they travel to Columbus today to win state titles! I believe this is the first time in school history that both teams qualified! Good luck to them and coach Josh Conrad! Run like the wind!
