To All in the Northwest Community:

The High School received a call this morning from the construction company for our addition and from our building and grounds supervisor that a gas line was punctured. Out of an abundance of caution we evacuated our high school students to Stinson. We have our local police and fire department on the scene right now. All of our students are safe! And all of our students have been accounted for. Again - I want to say - all of our students are safe.

We are now waiting for the gas line to be repaired. We believe this will happen within the next hour or so. Canal Fulton Police have the road blocked at the entrance way for everyone's safety. Once repaired, we will take the next steps to resume school. Should our situation remain longer than anticipated, we will be in touch again for next steps. As it is, our kids are safe and we are waiting calmly and patiently to resume school!

We will keep all of you updated as the situation progresses.
