Welcome to the art room at Northwest Primary School!  My name is Mrs. Lower, and I am so excited to be your child's art teacher! My love for art started when I was a young child and I am thrilled to share my enthusiasm for art with my students. I have a passion for exploratory, hands-on-learning, and strongly believe that art is fundamental in nurturing creativity, building confidence, and completing a well rounded education. It is such a joy to inspire and create with your child, and I can not wait to see all the amazing artwork produced in my class this year!

My husband and I are proud Northwest Graduates. We have been Canal Fulton residents for over 30 years. We love the community and have also raised our three wonderful children in the school district.  I received my Bachelor's degree in art education from Kent State University in 2011.  This is my first year at Northwest, but I taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grade art for the past five years in Summit County.

I enjoy reading, art, spending time with my family, teaching, and laughing with my students. I spend most of my evenings cheering on my children while playing school sports, and watching my husband coach the Northwest boys basketball team! Go Indians!
