COVID-19 Updates

COVID-19 Update

On March 10th, the Director of the Ohio Department of Health rescinded the order requiring schools to report and notify positive COVID cases.

As of 12:01 pm on March 10th schools are no longer required to:

  • Maintain a COVID reporting system for parents to report positive COVID cases,
  • Have a designated district COVID coordinator,
  • Notify parents of positive COVID cases among staff, students or coaches,
  • Report positive cases of COVID to local health departments (unless the school conducts the actual testing of the student).

Students are not longer required to wear masks on school transportation. The district is no longer requiring an opt out form to be completed for students and families who choose not to wear a mask at school.

The district continues to encourage everyone to wear a mask at school, on school transportation, and at school events.

At the present time, the existing Mast to Stay/Test to Play policy, as well as, isolation quarantine protocols remain in effect.
