Welcome back! My name is Wendy Reynolds, and I am the 5th Grade Intervention Specialist at W. S. Stinson Elementary. This is my 19th year here at Northwest, and I am so excited to be back with my fellow teachers and staff for another amazing year!
I graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 1997 with a dual major in Elementary and Special Education, and began my teaching career with Penn Hills Local School District in Pittsburgh, PA. I moved to Ohio in 2001 and started here at Stinson working with both 5th and 6th grades. In 2010, I completed my Masters in Special Education through Kent State University. In the summer, I oversee a summer collaboration between the Akron Rotary Camp and the Portage County Board of Developmental Disabilities that serves individuals ages 6 - 21 throughout a six week program.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. My son, Christopher is in 9th grade at Northwest High School. He enjoys playing football, basketball, and baseball. My daughter, Kaylee is in 7th grade at St. Francis De Sales School. She is a competitive dancer and also enjoys volleyball and horseback riding.
