About me

Mrs. Wos?  Who is that?

My name is Mrs. Wos, and I am going to be your child's Math teacher this year.  I would like to share a little bit about myself.

I have been teaching in the Northwest School District for 19 years (one year in second grade, the rest in Gifted Education).  Prior to that I taught a self-contained gifted classroom of 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in Massillon City for two years.  I began my teaching career as a Title One Math Tutor in Barberton for eight years.  This is my 29th year of teaching, and Math is my very favorite subject!  I collect dragons and BB-8 (and a lot of other things, too!)!

I have two children: Jules is 22 (she works at Old Navy in Columbus) and Jamie is 20 (a Junior in college).  I am married to Chris Wos, who is retired and works around the house.  His 24 year old daughter, Arianna, lives in Cleveland.  We all love to read and watch movies.  We have an all-black cat named Ela.

In the classroom my goal is to help your child achieve and excel.  As I treat every student with respect and kindness, I also expect the same from your child as he/she interacts with me and other students and teachers.  I will do my best to teach your child, and I, in return, expect your child to do his/her best as a student/learner, which includes being responsible for all schoolwork.

Open lines of communication are very important between parents, students, and teachers.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns by note, email (wos.l@northwest.sparcc.org) or phone (330-854-4646 Ext. 3321).
