Northwest Marching Band
The Pride of Canal Fulton, the Northwest Marching Band performs annually in parades including the Grande Repository Hall of Fame Parade, competitions, and football games. The marching band made Northwest Band history when it earned an excellent rating at its first marching band competition in October of 2023. The band performed in two competitions in the 2024 season, earning best auxiliary & best in class. The band is under the direction of Mr. Stephen Imler, a graduate of Kent State University.

High School Concert Bands
The Northwest Symphonic Band is proud to continue a strong tradition of instrumental music at Northwest High School. The concert bands perform at OMEA large group, and at the University of Akron Band Day in EJ Thomas Hall. The Select Winds are made up of the top performers in the program. They push the envelope of what is played as they perform the most challenging repertoire in the program ranging from wind band staples to new pieces. The bands are under the direction of Mr. Stephen Imler, a graduate of Kent State University.
