Attention Juniors and Seniors - Someone left this suit jacket at Prom.  If this is yours, please stop by the Office.

 

There will be a COVID shot clinic set up in the Auxiliary Gym from 1:50-7:30 for anyone  16 or older who would like to participate.  This includes community members as well.  If you are under 18, a permission form must be filled out and turned in at the time of the vaccine. See the Northwest website for more information.  

 

If you went to prom and have any photos on your phones you would like to share with the yearbook, come by the media center and share them with Mrs. Braman.

 

It’s not too late to order a yearbook.  Yearbook sales continue until the end of May.  Cost is $60.  Go to Jostens.com to order.

 

Our next blood drive is scheduled for tomorrow, May 12, in the Auxiliary Gym.  If you are willing to donate blood, sign up with Mr. Orr in Room 102.

 

Please check out the Lost and Found table in front of the Main Office if you are missing anything at all.  Whatever is left will be removed from the building on Thursday.

 

It’s that time of year again!  The Olde Canal Days Festival is accepting applications for Princess and Queen Pageant now through June 8.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office, and applications and info will be e-mailed to you.  A Pageant rep will be at the high school Tuesday, May 18, in the Guidance Office during advisory period.  There will also be an informational meeting for parents and participants on Wednesday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.  We hope you will consider being part of our festival and Pageant!

You may have noticed the giant tent in the Field House parking lot, that's because Prom. Is. tomorrow!  Just a reminder that because prom is in the parking lot, you might want to think about footwear - Feel free to bring a second pair of shoes, if you think you won't be able to dance the night away in your heels.

The Harvest for Hunger food drive is going on all week.  You can receive 1 PBIS point per item up to 50, so bring your items into the main office.  Make sure Mrs. Baer knows how many cans you are donating to receive your points!

Today is the last day to purchase tickets for prom!  Make sure you stop in Room 207 today to get you prom tickets.  The cost is $55.  You don't want to miss out on the Northwest Prom debut of DJ Donnie Schenz!    If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Matoszkia or Mrs. Roschival.

You are cordially invited to Rewrite the Stars at the Northwest High School Prom!  Prom tickets are on sale now for $55.  You can purchase tickets in Room 207 before or after school.   Check your school email for more details.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Matoszkia or Mrs. Rosch. 

 

Mayatux will be here before school on Thursday morning to deliver your pre-ordered tux.  You must pay at the time of delivery with a check or exact change in an envelope.  Remember to pick up your tux on Thursday morning before school if you ordered one!

 

AP testing begins with AP Calculus tomorrow, May 4th. If you are in an AP class, please make sure to speak with your teacher about your testing dates. 

 

The Harvest for Hunger Food Drive begins today!  Students can get PBIS points for bringing in food items to fill the truck!  It’s a great way to help out your community!

 

Sports

 

Baseball is now tied atop the PAC standings with a big 3-1 win over Triway last last.

 

Softball beat Fairless last night 14-0  The team is now 7-2 in the PAC.  Congratulations!

The Teal Titans and the Orange Peels faced off in an exciting game of Powder Puff Football on the turf Friday.  The Orange Peels, led by quarterback Shiann Jansen, had some great plays, but the Teal Titans, led by quarterback Natalie Geiger, ultimately won the contest.  A special shoutout goes to referees Brady Schenz and Anthony Grossnickle for calling the game.  Thank you to everyone who participated!

 

End of Course testing continues this week. US History is Tuesday, Biology is Wednesday, and Government is Thursday. Check the guidance windows to check your testing rooms and see and stop in guidance if you have any questions.

 

AP testing begins with AP Calculus on Tuesday, May 4th. If you are in an AP class, please make sure to speak with your teacher about your testing dates.

Monday - Friday - Can't wait for September to see more NHS football?  Don't be sad because we're bringing football in April!  Don't miss the Powder Puff Football game on Friday night!  Come out to see our junior and senior girls throw down on the turf.  Just kidding, it will be a respectable and civil game. Gates open at 6:00 and the game begins at 6:30.  Admission is $3.00 at the gate.  See you there!

 

Monday - Thursday - Attention all Powder Puff football players - You are welcome to attend the practice sessions today and Thursday from 2:30-3:15 on the field behind Stinson.  Please dress for the weather.
