Tuesday’s ABC countdown letter is X.  The theme for tomorrow is Extremely Comfy Day!

Please return student failure forms to Chante as soon as possible... We still have not received these forms from many teachers. If a student is at-risk of failing, please put them on your list so I can keep them on my radar and I'll check to see their final status once grades have posted. :)

The winner of this week's PBIS raffle for the McDonald's gift card is Zach Ross. Please stop in guidance to claim your prize.

At lunch today, items will be for sale for PBIS points. Please see Mr. Harbour in the cafeteria if you are interested in purchasing a gift card, candy bar, or bonus points. This is a reminder that your PBIS points will start over at the start of next school year. Next week, any leftover items will be available in guidance. 

 

Any student athlete that is planning to play on the Girls or Boys Golf Team next year, please stop in Room 101 and give your contact information to Coach Boggs today.

 

All students enrolled in ELA 9, 10, 11, 12, AP Language, AP Literature, and College Composition 1 courses at NHS have a summer reading assignment.  Assignment sheets have been delivered or will be delivered in the near future.  If you did not receive an assignment sheet for the correct course, please see Mrs. Matoszkia in room 112.

Thursday’s ABC countdown letter is W.  The theme for tomorrow is Workout Day!

Make sure if you need to make any schedule changes for next year you make them by May 25!

There will be a mandatory meeting for all current members and new inductees of Thespians after school today, May 22nd, in Room 113. Please see Mrs. Beery if you have any questions.

Attention track participants not in regionals:  Uniforms must be turned in by today to Mrs. Huscusson!!

The Boys & Girls track teams competed in the Division 2 District at Salem over this past weekend. The following athletes finished in the top 4 and qualified for regional this week:  

-Jaden Skelley-Pole Vault

-Tylor Strong-Pole Vault

-Lauren Michels- Pole Vaults

-Emily Adkins- Long Jump

-Luke Fennell 110 Hurdles

-Luke Fennell 300 Hurdles

-Girls 4x100 Relay Team - Emily Adkins, Erin Walker, Morgan Manns, and Keeley Fightmaster.   Congratulations to everyone who competed at Districts and good luck to those moving on to Regionals this Thursday at Austintown-Fitch. AHIGA

We will be running one last PBIS raffle for students. This week's raffle is for a $10.00 McDonald's gift card. Please ask one of your teachers to enter you in if you are interested!

The staff PBIS cart will be around again on Friday.  If interested, be prepared for the cart 4th period.

Any student athlete that is planning to play on the Girls or Boys Golf Team next year, please stop in Room 101 and give your contact information to Coach Boggs today.

Mrs. Braman has taken down the hallway photos.   If you would like to purchase an existing poster for $10 or 50 PBIS points, you may purchase them on a first come/first serve basis.  No new posters are being printed.

Yearbook sales will end at the end of May.  We cannot guarantee there will be extras for purchase in the fall.  Also as a reminder to seniors, if you ordered a yearbook, they will be shipped to the school in September.  You are responsible for picking up your yearbook.  They will not be mailed to you.

The Olde Canal Days Festival is accepting applications for the Canal Day’s Pageant at this time through June, 8th.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office if you are interested.  There will be an informational meeting for participants and parents on Fri. May 24, at 6:30pm at the Senior Center.

Monday’s ABC countdown letter is S.  The theme for Monday is Sunglass Day!

Today is our senior send-off rally at 1:00.  Seniors will be called down to the Field House at 12:40 to prepare, and all other students will be called down at 12:50.  Seniors: bring your cap and gown only.

After a brief celebration, graduation candidates will walk throughout the school district and be recognized by past staff and current students.

The senior exam schedule has been posted throughout the building.  Seniors:  You are to come in for your exam during the time you normally have that class.  If you believe you are exempt from an exam, you must clear it with each teacher.  Ask each individual teacher if you qualify for the exemption before assuming you are exempt from their exam. 

Seniors:  If you brought medication in to the office this school year, stop in the Main Office before leaving the building at the end of the day to pick it up.

Fifth Third has extended a $2,500 national scholarship opportunity for seniors to May 31st. All that is needed is to complete a 20-30 minute online lesson. If you are interested, please stop in the guidance office for information.
