A Little About Mrs. Barnett
This is my 22nd year at Northwest. I have taught a variety of grade levels and subjects including 7th and 8th grade special education, 7th grade English/language arts, social studies, and math, and 7th and 8th grade art. During my time at the middle school, I was also lucky enough to serve as 7th grade volleyball coach, cheerleading advisor, and JTI advisor. I have spent the last 8 years here at Stinson teaching 3rd grade, which I love!
I earned both my bachelors and masters degrees from Malone. I am certified to teach both special and regular education and hold a reading certificate.
I live at Lake Mohawk in Malvern with my husband, Steve, who is the Carrol County assistant prosecutor, and my two children, Ryan (7) and Katey (4).
I spend most of my free time attending Ryan's baseball games and Katey's dance and gymnastics events. However, when I do get some time to myself, I enjoy reading, writing, and drawing. My favorite place to visit is Disney World, which I got to do with my kids at the beginning of the summer.
I am looking forward to another great year at Northwest! I can't wait until August 22 to meet all of my new third grade students!
