W.S. Stinson Elementary is home to approximately 450 third through fifth-grade students. Our mission is to provide each student the means to reach his/her potential. We will work together to meet the needs of every child by preparing them to be knowledgeable decision makers, technically literate, and proficient on state achievement tests. Through collaborative efforts they will become responsible, contributing, caring, and well-rounded individuals.
Every student begins the school year with an assignment book and the teachers will continue to remind the students to use it daily. This is the best way for the students to be organized, responsible, and allow you to know what they are doing in school. We strongly encourage you to check your child’s assignment book, folders, and book bag nightly. Your child’s homeroom teacher may also be using the Homework Hotline and/or a webpage to keep you updated on assignments and activities in the classroom. Ask your child which tool his/her teacher plans to use for daily communication. Children need a lot of parental support and encouragement!
Please do not hesitate to call or stop in to visit.
